The concept behind this album was simple: to construct a jazz combo by sampling unaccompanied instrumental performances and combining them as organically as possible. No pitch control was used in the making of these songs, nor were any non-sampled instruments. What you hear is strictly the result of cutting, reshaping, and mixing the notes, chords, and other sounds as they were initially captured. This album is dedicated to the four musicians chosen for this project, all of whose music I have admired for some years now. Please enjoy.
